Position Overview:
We are looking for a responsible and compassionate Van Driver to safely transport youth to and from various programming locations in the Lake Country area. The Van Driver will be responsible for operating a 12-passenger van, ensuring a safe and comfortable ride for youth aged 8-17. This role requires a trauma-informed approach, and you will play a key role in supporting the mental health and recovery services of the organization.

Schedule:

• Monday to Thursday: 7:00 AM – 9:00 AM & 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM

• Friday: 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM & 12:30 PM – 2:30 PM
  May require mask-wearing

Responsibilities:

• Direct Client Care (45%): Transport youth to and from programming. Assist with loading/unloading when necessary. Support client behavior plans and provide positive results through effective interaction.

• Safety (45%): Adhere to traffic laws, inspect the van for safety before and after each trip, maintain a clean and safe environment inside the van, and report any issues to a supervisor.

• Documentation (5%): Provide accurate documentation according to program procedures, including reporting any accidents or unusual circumstances.

• Miscellaneous Duties (5%): Support organizational needs across programs, provide crisis intervention as needed, and assist with other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Valid Driver’s License

• Proof of Insurance

• Less than 4 points on driving record

• No felony convictions or background issues

• Must be comfortable with transporting youth

• Compassionate, responsible, and proactive attitude
