The controls Engineer will design, develop and supervise all aspects of electrical control systems, equipment, and machinery as well as provide documentation for all aspects of the projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/REQUIREMENTS:

1. Design of power and control systems.

2. Develop drawings, create bills of materials, and write documentation for projects.

3. Design and development of PLC and HMI software.

4. Test PLC programming and hardware.

5. Write equipment test procedures and instruction manuals.

6. Calibration and testing of transducers / PLC input / output equipment.

7. Update designs for obsolete equipment – create new designs when needed.

8. Assist field personnel with equipment startup.

9. Work with outside vendors to resolve manufacturing and supply problems.

10. Perform electronic testing and troubleshooting.

11. Set up computer systems and software.

12. Assist in project management in coordination with the project manager and sales.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

This job requires a degree in electrical engineering or equivalent experience, one (1) to three (3) years of electrical systems design, and two (2) years of general programming experience, PLC and HMI. Must be able to understand and comply with NEC and OSMA codes. Must be able to use electrical testing and measuring equipment. Experience in MS Office applications
