We are currently seeking a talented Dispatcher for our waste disposal company in Austin! This is a full-time, permanent position with significant earning potential.

Experience with roll-off dispatching of solid material is preferred. 

The ideal candidate will take strong pride in exemplary customer relations and service. This individual should be customer-focused, detail-oriented, organized, adaptable and reliable. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities Include:
Utilize tools and resources to route planned activity in an efficient manner on all revenue generating activity for solids transport activity

• Receive inbound service requests from internal and external customers and respond with service dates in a timely manner

• All inbound calls are routed through the Roll Off Logistics Coordinator

• Monitor and update new accounts adding recurring frequencies and service notes when necessary • Handle and schedule all inbound service requests from existing customers

• Accurately and clearly convey estimated time of arrival to clients either directly or indirectly through your office teammates

• Present drivers with disposal site instructions for profitable hauls

• Assist drivers with avoiding traffic jams and anticipating traffic patterns

• Accurately and clearly convey proper placement of containers at client sites to drivers

• Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups

• Maintain accurate container count in inventory

• Over communicate effectively and clearly with customers, teammates and management

• Work with the Operations Mgr./Field Supervisor to respond and identify solutions to schedule changes/emergencies/heightened needs with the goal of minimizing the impact to recurring scheduled activities and future planned activities

• Responsible for maximizing and planning each driver’s available hours while maintaining Texas Intrastate Short Haul 150 air mile radius, compliance

• Working with and assisting with the planning of major events and projects as it pertains to the planning of future activity

• Send/push loads by 4pm for the next day’s activity to drivers/iPads via FileMaker

• Participate in periodic trainings & safety meetings

Requirements
• 2 years of dispatcher experience required, prefably in a roll-off line of work
• Proficiency in using dispatching software, GPS systems, and communication tools (e.g., radios, phones, email) to coordinate operations effectively

• Knowledge of FMCSA and DOT regulations

• Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements for waste disposal, transportation, and environmental safety

• Familiarity with local routes, traffic patterns, and geographical areas to optimize scheduling and routing

• Capacity awareness – Time, volume, utilization, efficiency, productivity, safety

• Must communicate in all proper channels in an effective and positive manner promoting a team environment

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to relay instructions clearly to drivers, interact with customers, and collaborate with team members

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address scheduling conflicts, handle emergencies, and make quick decisions under pressure

• Effective organizational skills to prioritize tasks, manage schedules, and maintain accurate records of dispatch activities
